Necronomicon Necklace
 
The Necronomicon pendant is cast in sterling silver and is hinged so that it can open and close.  The Necronomicon is a fictional book featured in the works of H.P. Lovecraft.  The book is said to have originally been written by Abdul Anzared, the "Mad Arab", in approximately 738 AD and to contain accounts of the Old Ones, their history and the means by which to summon them.

Our Necronomicon design features hand carved reliefs containing ancient symbols to bind, contain and capture the dark secrets held with in the book.  The reliefs on the long sides of the book are abstract depictions of Cthulhu and Yog-Sothoth.  The corner caps of the book are engraved with the Elder Sign, which is said to hold the Old Ones and their servants at bay.  Open the book to find the infamous Necronomicon rhyming couplet written in Arabic, the original language of the book:

"That is not dead which can eternal lie.  And with strange aeons even death may die."

The Necronomicon pendant measures approximately 44.2 mm (1 3/4") tall, 27.6 mm (just over 1 1/16") wide when closed, 52 mm (2 1/16") wide when opened, and 6.9 mm (1/4") at the thickest point.  The Necronomicon weighs approximately 29.6 grams.

Cthulhu Medallion
 
The Cthulhu Medallion is available in sterling silver & 14k. gold.  The Cthulhu chant, "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" (In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming), is engraved on back of the pendant.  Click Here to view.

The Cthulhu pendant measures approximately 32.8 mm (just over 1 1/4") long, 28.1 mm (just under 1 1/8") wide, and 3 mm (1/8") at the thickest point.  The Cthulhu Medallion weighs approximately 7.7 grams in sterling silver / 9.6 grams in 14k. gold.  The back of the pendant is carved out to reduce weight.

Our Elder Sign Necklace is based on a handwritten symbol that appeared in a 1930 letter from H.P. Lovecraft to Clark Ashton Smith.  The Elder Sign is mentioned in the stories "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" and "The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath".  The elder sign is used for defense against the Deep Ones.  The Deep Ones can not harm someone protected by the Elder Sign.

The pendant is available in sterling silver & 14k. gold.  Each Elder Sign measures approximately 27.5 mm (just over 1 1/16") long, 17.2 mm (11/16") wide and 1.3 mm (1/16") thick.  The pendant weighs approximately 3.9 grams in sterling silver / 4.8 grams in 14k. gold.
